Rivières évasion is a team of whitewater professionals located in Chantemerle (Serre Chevalier Vallée 1350) on the banks of the Guisane.

Since 1997, our motivation has been to introduce you to our activities but also to help you progress in rafting, hydrospeed, kayaking, or even air boat and canoraft (inflatable kayak and canoe).
With common sense and organization, everyone can enjoy the joys of whitewater sailing!

Our priorities are to manage with the greatest care all parameters related to safety, to allow our students to enjoy and progress for even more pleasures and sensations, but also to encounter dazzling landscapes: those of the marvelous environment of the river.
Our base, located in Chantemerle (Serre Chevalier Vallée 1350) on the banks of the Guisane River and the Dovecote Park, is situated between the relatively easy upper section and the start of the renowned sporty section of the lower Guisane. Nearby, we find the best whitewater spots in the Hautes Alpes, renowned for their diversity and exceptional sunshine.
Our customers come to us from all the villages of Serre Chevalier Valley but also from Briançon, Montgenèvre, the Clarée Valley or even from Valmeinier or Valloire via the Galibier pass.
Over the years, we have built solid partnerships with many of the hosts of all these sites, with our professional colleagues in other outdoor summer activities (mountain guides, mountain bike or paragliding instructors, equestrian centers or bungee jumpers, canyoning instructors, etc.).
Our annual opening period, from May 1st to September 30th at the earliest, caters to all whitewater enthusiasts. Conditions are often excellent in May and June, and even in September for learning kayaking techniques.
Since 2020, the base has been bought by SPORTRENT.

Depending on the disability, by adapting the equipment and our teaching methods, we can help you discover our activities and the river environment.
Some members of our team are specially trained and also supervise disabled skiing in winter.

A pure moment of pleasure!
For me, rafting on the Guisane seemed impossible...
Taking on this kind of challenge when you're blind isn't easy! But that wasn't counting on the determination and professionalism of Thomas and Didier!
I participated in the 2015 Fest'eaux-vives with Laurent, a visually impaired friend. After having a great meal at the Parc des Colombiers, it was time for the briefing before getting into the water. A little, even a lot of stress, but Didier's advice and explanations really put me at ease. He showed me the raft, my position in the boat, where to place my feet, and how to paddle. There was a lot of information to take in, but we'll have a first part to put in
Applying the theory! Didier coaches us by setting the pace and indicating who should paddle. Everything is going wonderfully! Last instruction: safety precautions just in case... We are ready for the timed descent. Number 1 of the afternoon boats, we were very motivated not to be caught!
And then 22 minutes of pure pleasure! Didier shouts "Right forward, Left back, ahead!" The orders to keep the raft as straight as possible follow one another at breakneck speed! We're splashed, the sensations are crazy! A safety check for a perilous passage and we're off again at full speed!

The pleasure of rafting for a paraplegic, no problem!
A little goodwill, a dose of common sense, and a little help are all it takes to get the paraglider safely tucked into the raft, ready to paddle. And off you go for the easy ride!
And as everything is going well, in the sun and in a good mood, we continue with the invigorating course: fantastic!
